Man and Kennel Association (MAKA)
Man and Kennel Association (MAKA) was established in 1986. The MAKA is promoting and popularizing dogsport activity and holding competitions on sports with dogs in South Korea. The MAKA is non-profit organization. Main activities & Public service of the MAKA are: Dog sports, Search and Rescue(SAR), Therapy Dog.
Now MAKA unites seven thousand members, all members are related with dog sports. MAKA is organizing education of dog trainers in South Korea and gives certificates of dog sports trainer. About eighty trainers are registered in MAKA.
MAKA develops the following kinds of sport with dogs:
- Agility
- Dog Swimming
- Frisbee
- Fly ball
- Hunting (not need a gun)
- Sledding
- Weight Pull
Every kind of sports has own association. All of these associations are united by Dog Sports Federation of Korea (DSFK), which is a member of the MAKA.
